Staged to Sell: A Virtual Transformation

Loren Brown joined our team in the fall of 2020 and he immediately gravitated toward the Virtual Services side of our business. The services weren’t new to Open Homes Photography, but their demand had skyrocketed as marketing began to conform to a post-COVID world. Our original process for choosing virtual furniture was clunky and time-consuming. Luckily for everyone involved, Loren is a problem-solver. With a keen eye for detail, he overhauled our Virtual Staging and Virtual Renovations process and now handles these services using his (much, much smoother) process.

1230 Sacramento Street, San Francisco

The intricate molding, sleek surfaces, and sprawling staircase were all the perfect sources of inspiration for this Neo-classical Revival.

Our approach: frame and compliment the beautiful detailing and craftsmanship with a muted, contemporary palette and plush, textured rugs.

79 Oak Ridge Road, San Rafael

This client had worked with us before and expressed full faith in our design. They had one request: Clear everything and show the expansiveness of the space.

Our approach: showcase the scale and functionality of the home by highlighting indoor/outdoor living and the sweeping views. We paired modern coastal design with luxurious statement pieces and a dramatic 10-seat formal dining arrangement.

612 Alvarado Row, Stanford

It was immediately clear that no small amount of care had been poured into this charming home.

Our approach: keep that charisma at the heart of our design. The client and I both agree that our personal favorite is the soft green personal study/library. The client even mentioned that they wished they had found us before they decided to sell, as they would have loved to live in it as we had arranged it.

2299 Market Street #402, San Francisco

This was the first foray into virtual staging for this client. While initially unsure about the potential outcome, they were convinced the moment they reviewed our curation.

Our approach: this space epitomizes the sleek luxurious aesthetic of a San Francisco high-rise, so our selection utilized soft, cognac leather and a multipurpose sofa table. Tasteful and minimal bedroom furniture adds to the serenity of the striking view outside of the floor-to-ceiling windows.

450 El Escarpado Avenue, Stanford

This grand estate had all of the hallmarks of a great home, however, it was simply missing the proper introduction. This gem, presented by Stanford University, was all about uncovering the home’s inner potential.

Our approach: utilize elegant transitional design, brass accents, deep wood tones, and a healthy dose of primary colors. The home was nearly unrecognizable after its transformation.
